Beef Tenderloin

I am cooking an 8 lb, beef tenderloin for Christmas and am looking for marinande ideas and cooking tips. I am not a novice with the egg, but I have not cooked beef tenderloin with it. At the moment I am smoking a 3 lb trout for dinner tonight.[p]All ideas are welcome. MBD in Atlanta
