Pop up thermometer in Turkey

I have a 5 lbs Perdue Turkey Breast with a plastic pop up thermometer.
Can I use this in the BGE or do I have to remove it before cooking? This is my first bird on the BGE and I would appreciate any advice.

    In the trash can with it. Use your meat thermometer, and pull off when the breast reads 165.

    Thomas,[p]It works fine in the Egg!! I have used both it and a Polder to check and the thing popped around 167 deg - that's what the Polder read when it popped out. Use it - works fine. I have since used it along with the Polder 3 more times and its always very close to 165 deg.[p]Tim
