new BGE eggsperience's

Well I've had my Lg BGE now for 5 weeks and I must say we're all putting on a few extra pounds around here. I've cooked a butt (perfect),lots of ribs (variable results-all good),chickens (best ever),rib roasts (mmmmmm...)and a duck (overcooked:( ).
I've taken to sitting down outside with three fingers of Jack Daniels helping me oversee the slow cook. My friends have started
asking me why I smell like a forest fire and wonder about the silly
grin I wear when ever I'm at the Kroger meat counter.
Ahh....life is good.
This weekend I'm going to devote an entire afternoon driving out to
Suwanee to pick up a truckload of Wicked Good Charcoal (while the
BGE is slowly smoking the briscitt I started that morn of course)
For some reason the wife and I are getting along better and now
she dosen't worry as much about the drinking... Who'ld thunk it?
I should have got one of these things a long time ago...
