BGE digital meat thermometer question

I saw a BGE digital thermometer at the store I bought my egg at. I would like to hear any feed back from any one who has used one. Any other brands that you might recomend that may be a bit cheaper than the thermapen but still a good product. Not sure the wife would buy off on the thermapen this soon after the egg purchase.
