Hey, gotta question. After brining poultry, is it a bad thing to use seasonings with salt?


  • Huck,[p] I'd recommend against it (at least a seasoning with a lot of salt). While brining doesn't leave a strong salty flavor (providing you rinse very well after brining!), to my taste, it does leave some. What were you planning on doing?[p]MikeO

    It's okay to use other seasonings with a brine. Like MikeO says, you want to make sure you aren't introducing more salt to the brine.
