Had some friends over tonight to watch "Survivor" and kinda developed a recipe (altered frome something my mom used to make)![p]½ cup soy sauce
½ cup olive oil
1 head of garlic coarsely chopped (shallots are good also)
¼ cup peeled and chopped ginger
2 Tbs chopped thyme (can use other herb of preference)
1 bay leaf (sage is a good substitute … but different flavor)
2 – 3 lbs of flank steak[p]Combine all of the ingredients (salt and pepper to taste) and marinade steaks overnight. Sear on egg as you would any other steak[p]Result are great and cold Rolling Rock seemed to be a great match![p]Smokey
