molasses-pomegranate-ginger sauce, need suggestions

Dear All, [p]Heading over to Chris' Nature Ranch soon for traditional new year's day cook. Wanted to whip up something new to try and settled on babyback ribe with a pomegranate-molasses-ginger bbq sauce. This is totally brand new recipe, so I am looking for a little help to complete the sauce.[p]What one ingredient would you add to that flavor combination to make it a fabulos asian bbq sauce? [p]Brett

    If you make me stick to one...I'd say sesame oil. If I get two or three, I'd say the oil, some minced garlic, and maybe some oyster sauce. Probably could use some red pepper flakes and soy sauce, too, for balancing out some of the sweetness. Oops, that's five!! [p]But what do I know? I'm usually hit or miss on my Asian-style dishes...

    The Virginian,[p]Thats going to be pretty sweet (sept'n for thee tart kick from the pommy's...so I might add back a little Chinese Black Vinegar and some 5 spice powder.[p]I know you said one ingreadent...but Id maybe small dice some shallotts too!![p]Sounds like a good'n...have fun!![p]Evans
