Anyone have suggestions on what meat slicer to buy....i.e. Hobart, Globe, etc.? Something that cuts meat thin and is especially easy to clean.[p]Paul

    Paul,
Just bought a chef's choice 610 at Sam's. It's not too heavy duty, but was fine slicing an eye round paper thin. Not too easy to clean in my opinion, but then its my only experience with cleaning meat slicers. Price was right, ~$90
    Cheers, Bob

    Paul,
I bought one on E bay several years ago and am very pleased with it...made by "Ritter"...and trust me, I don`t think any of them are easy to clean...HTH[p]Wess

  • Paul,
We bought a Berkel 823E, from a resturant supply place for about
$450.00. It works great and is intended for use in small food
vending businesses. We had two "home use" units and neither
was very good. As for cleaning, like the other posters, be
prepared to spend a bit of time at it.
