Cooking thin Pork Chops

I will be cooking some thin 1/2" thick pork chops tonight. Would it work to do a high temp 500-600 deg for 3-4 min. each side and then a dwell? They have been marinated in balsamic vinegrete. I always debate on cooking hot and fast or at about 425 for 10 min. I usually get them to about 155 deg off my thermopen and that seems about right for us. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

kilo, that thin I would do about ONE minute per side, possibly two, no longer and pull off the grill. No dwell needed, other than the time it takes to get the chops to the plate (5 minutes OUT of the heat)

kilo,
Why the high temp? I cook Iowa Chops....3/4 to 1 inch at about 300 to 350 deg for about 10-15 min per side....remember everything cooked in the BGE stays moist...just my 2 cents

Rumrunner,
I did about two minutes per side and that worked great!
Thanks!
