profiles on new site

ClubEgg members,[p]Some of you have noticed that your name is displaying in the who's online box on the new site instead of your userid.[p]This is because we've just upgraded the "who's online" module to display your handle instead of your userid; and, to link this to your profiles.[p]Also, as part of that effort, we fixed your user profiles so that they now show the first, last, and, middle name fields. This is where we originally imported the "Real name" from your current profiles.[p]In other words, until yesterday, you couldn't see your real names in the profiles; consequently, some of you fixed this by putting your realname in the "Name" field -- a logical choice at the time.[p]So, some of you, those that corrected their name in their profile, are now seeing that name in the new who's online list -- because that field is now your handle.[p]We even found and fixed most of these cases, but a few seem to have slipped through the script we used to repair them. We are still working to fix these; however, you may edit your profile at any time now to set your handle, real name, and, username, to your tastes.[p]Appologies for the confusion, and, thanks to everyone for their patience while we work out these kinks![p]WMK[p]

guess if anybody can screw up something it's me...I just tried to enter my real name via the profile change and now I can't get logged on either way. Can you fix it for me? My handle is RRP and my given name is Ron Pratt. Thanks!

Hmm, everything looks okay with your profile on this end. Please try (in IE at least) "Tools -> Internet Options", and clicking "Delete cookies". Sometimes the crumbs the browser leaves behind get out of whack.
If that doesn't work, I'll have to reset your password, and, try your account myself to see what's up.
Please let me know.

well i am now able to post, but not able to log in and my user name appears black not green. it will tell me that i cant check other profiles also. if you could email me my password i can verify that im using the right one

I replied to the email you sent -- to the address from whence it came. But, in that email, there was another address which is different from the reply address and from address in your profile.
I can change your profile email address for you, and, trigger another confirmation email. Which address would you like to use?

fishlessman,[p]I just sent you a password reset email to the address in your profile. Did you receive it? I'll try and login using that password just to be sure it works.[p]I noticed you are using an "aol" email address. We've had some delivery delay problems with some aol addresses. We see delays even when sending directly from Outlook to some addresses like xyz@aol.com.[p]WMK
