Mickey's Coffee Rub

I just made a fresh batch, about 3 cups. I'm going to give it to my aunt this weekend. She got an XL for Christmas but hasn't registered for the forum yet. I'll tell her to register on the forum so that she can look up the recipe. Nothing like an incentive.

    Here it is.

    Rub, "Kona Koffee", Hungry Man

    This came from Julie/Mainegg *****Kona hard to find, use expresso ground fine instant. VERY GOOD on Turkey.... done twice, just ask Mainegg..

    INGREDIENTS:
    1/4 cup salt
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup ancho-chili powder
    1/2 cup expresso ground (very fine) Kona coffee
    1/4 cup garlic powder
    1/4 cup ground black pepper

    PROCEDURE:

    1. Mix all and keep in an air tight container.

    2. I use on spatchcocked turkey / direct at 350/400 high in dome....

    Well I used Starbucks expresso roast beans. Maybe when I get Scottie’s money I can try Kona.

    An important thing I think is to fresh grind your black pepper from peppercorns.
