Options
second attempt with lacto ferment.  sediment on the stainless plate that holds it all submerged. yeast?  mold?
nothing on top of the brine but white substance on plate, top of veggie and jar bottom. brine went cloudy for the first week, then clear for the second. smells of an old pickle barrel

White, cloudy sediment is fine.  You should see it on the bottom as well.  Shake it before eating.  White moldy film on top is not good. My one month sauerkraut ferment tastes great.  Better than any kraut you can buy.
I like my butt rubbed and my pork pulled.
