Costco had some briskets I was looking at and I think they said they were flat cut. Can someone explain and also tell me what type of brisket I should get? Are the 'flat cut' okay? Just didn't seem very thick compared to the pictures I've seen on here of some briskets.[p]Thanks

<p />WVU-Egg,[p]A brisket has a flat and a point. Here is a whole one trimmed up, now about 10 lbs. The point is more fatty and many folks return the point to the cooker for "burnt ends", or chop it for sandwiches.[p]830e8564.jpg[p]Here is the same one with flat & point separated before slicing. The grain is each runs a different direction[p]~thirdeye~
