An old fashioned, a wee bit of snow, and a Christmas ham.

Some pretty active weather in Ajax last night, and had a Christmas ham planned for my cousin's dinner. Not sure what it is, but i love cooking in the winter. Nothing like sticking a cold beer in the snow while you egg. Anyways, no beers at 5:30am this morning when I started, but the old fashioned from last night served as added motivation to get out there. After shovelling a path to my egg, I finally got her started at 7:30. Will update with final pics when she's done. And for those wondering, this is egret's ham with no modifications (ok maybe a little extra bourbon).

Cook done! Was a 20lb ham and it ended up taking 8 hours at 250. Here's what it looks like now.

Awesome! Snow beer is the best beer, but I'm not going to complain about a bourbon!

Wish we had a good snow in Alabama, but it doesn't happen often, and when it does, it's usually a wet sloppy mess.
Ham and bourbon is a great combination.
