Morning All:
Had a craving for some fried rice so this morning cooked the rice to let it dry out some all day...Kathy chopped up some carrots & onions while I was out this evening then when I got home fired up the Egg...all the ingredients ready to go...
Items included rice, carrot, onion, pulled pork, eggs, bacon grease (gotta have some good stuff for frying), soy sauce, Teriyaki sauce, roasted garlic, peas, bacon bits, cilantro (I think that's everything).
Start by softening the carrots & onions, then adding roasted garlic & the egg...put aside ready for later...
Now "frying" the rice with some Teriyaki & soy...
Then everything in the pan to get happy together for a bit and warm up together...
A close up of my bowl...so tasty!
Took probably less than 45 minutes from lighting the Egg to eating!

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

That is a "prototype" spider from Ceramic Grill Store (Tom) before it became Ceramic Grill Store...I like it better for wok use (I also have one of Tom's 2-level spiders)...
Have a GREAT day!

Nice! Sometimes I cook too much rice a day or two in advance and save the rest for fried rice. Never thought to cook it hours in advance.XL BGE & 36" Blackstone
