I remember a post for making some butter pickles. Whoever has it, can you please post it!

    ShortRib,
You mean bread-and-butter pickles? Try a google search for "bread and butter pickles + recipe" (with parens only around bread and butter pickles).[p]HTH

ShortRib, here ya be[p]2 cups cucumbers, sliced ¼" thick
1 medium onion, sliced thin. Vidalia's work good
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup white vinegar
    1 tsp salt
    1/2t mustard seed
    1/4 t celery seed.
    1/4 t turmeric

[p]Mix all ingredients in a 2qt. casserole dish
Microwave on high power for 8 minutes.
Stir twice during the cooking time.
Let pickles cool then put in container with tight lid and refrigerator. [p]

Rumrunner,[p]Can you use whole pickle cucumbers or do you have to slice 'em. Also, how long do you marinade for till they are ready to eat?

ShortRib, I've never tried whole, but I'll bet you could use split with no problem. You might have to diddle with the cooking time a little (longer). They are ready to eat when they are cold...approx 4 hours.
