    I will be interested in what you find out, I haven't put a straight edge on mine but I know the center is high

    i noticed it during the cook, it was even higher when hot. i sent them an email, will see how they respond, if i get another plate hopefully i can keep this one for searing those burgers

    With that much flex I'm surprised there aren't any stress cracks from heat to cool. How thick is the cooking surface on these units anyways?  Is this a known issue on these?  Side note...my guess would be they'll issue a full replacement in lieu of repair.

    looks like 1/8 sheet, about .120 thick

    the pencil is cedar for flavoring the burgers, eraser removed =)

    Any of you Griddle users know if the 36" uses a thicker griddle vs the 17"?

    cabelas has it listed as 3/16 thick verse the 17 inch one at 1/8. theres alot more btu's on the 36

    Hey @fishlessman - how has your 17 replacement top held up? Still straight? I bought one in November when Cabella's had their $69 package deal including the carry bag. I seasoned it today and and mine is warped just like your's in the first photo. With heat on it, the thing is humped like a camel. It was perfectly straight when I took it out of the box.
    L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....
