Chipped egg

Last week, I was transporting my egg to it's new spot and it was placed a little to hard.  I now have a quarter size chip on the bottom of the egg.  It is not broke through, but I am worried about it getting worse. It looks like it just chipped the green off of it.  Are there any patch or recommendations for me on this.  This has had to have happened to others before.

that "green" is the porcelain glaze that was fired on. It could cause your base to absorb water which could cause your base to crack. If I were you I would ask my dealer for touch up paint that they should have. If not go to an art store and buy a small bottle of acrylic paint - you should be able to get a very close match. Take your green cap with you.
