New steel and burgers

Options
I was lucky enough to get in on the baking steel deal @RRP set up and finally got a chance to test that bad boy out.  Started with some grilled onions and bacon.
Then grilled up some simple patties.  Just kosher salt and fresh group pepper.  Also buttered the steel a bit because, why not?

These burgers were awesome.  Sorry, only like half a money shot cause SWMBO and I were hungry and these suckers were really good.  The steel makes a great crust on the burger.

    How thick is the plate?
I had forgotten that I had a couple of plates made a few years ago.
One is 3/4 in and the other is 1 inch........they are very heavy.
I had these cut to put on top of a 130,000 btu gas commercial kitchen burner.
They definitely helped the pot cook even.

I had them laser cut from 3/8" hot rolled steel commonly called A36. They are 14" in diameter and weigh 16.6 pounds.
