EGG Table like one for a gas grill

You'll often see outdoor cook "islands" for gas grills made from steel/aluminum studs, skinned with cement board, and then a veneer of brick or stone.  I was thinking of trying this for my EGG.  Has anyone made a table like this for their EGG?  If so I'd love to see some pics and ideas about what worked/didn't.
