Large BGE Needs New Home

I bought the BGE new in 2007 and it has been kept under cover since that time. It is in excellent condition. It has been stored with the cover on it and under my eave. Everything works as it should.

I'm moving and can't take it with me. I cook for only two people so firing it up for small meals didn't happen very often.

My objective is to find a good home for the BGE at a fair price. Pickup only in Houston. No way I am shipping this so please don't ask. Sold as is, feel free to ask questions.

We're moving to a midrise condo which (i) doesn't allow BBQ cookers and (ii) has a community BBQ cooker on the rooftop terrace.

As to the price...whatever is fair.

What you should do is offer it for sale to the condo - having a BGE as a perk would be really nice... Then offer to teach others how to do REAL BBQ.

I doubt they would find it acceptable to have a real fire on the rooftop terrace; otherwise, great idea for a great cooker!

Except that fire inside an egg is no more dangerous than a gasser that CAN explode (no such issue with real fire  )

I can't imagine having an egg for public use. It would probably take a week before you came to find it doused in lighter fluid with self-lighting briquettes in it. And imagine the flashback lawsuits against the condo for providing an unsafe grill.

I wouldn't let my neighbors cook on my UDS. Never mind an egg. They asked to borrow it. I just cooked it for them.
