Short rib question

I happened to mention to the wife that I wanted to try smoking some beef ribs.  Of course I meant the beef plate rib, but she came home from Costco with these boneless short ribs.  Never had these before, let alone cooked them.  Any suggestions on how to cook?

Never been down that road either, but I would cook as a bone-in rib (plan for a quicker cook time) and then go til you get the right texture with the proverbial toothpick test.  Can't go wrong with that.  FWIW-

Here's a cook I did with boneless chuck short ribs. These came from restaurant depot where they don't cut them into "steaks".  One other poster said that they got uncut boneless chuck short ribs at their Costco but I've never seen them at ours.
