Butane Torch Fix

I use my butane torch for post sous vide searing and sparking lump instantly (followed by hairdryer or Looftlighter). The darn thing would not light even though I can see the spark.  Solution: aim the nozzle down, about 1/2" from a flat heat safe surface (e.g. fire brick), turn on gas (which gets trapped around the nozzle area, surrounding the spark point), press spark trigger, voila!
