Lobster sale! How do you cook them on the egg?

Picked up a few lobsters today.  How do you guys cook them on the BGE? How do you know they are done! Do you kill them first and if so how?  I was thinking indirect at 350? I've got a couple of nice sirlions  to go with them.

I've heard you par steam them and then split and grill. Brush with butter. I would be happy to come over as well and help.

I split them down the middle, killing them with the chef knife thru the head between the eyes and then cut the rest of the way...

meat. Side down for a few minutes on the grate at about 400 and then flip to the shell side, brush with garlic butter and cook until they are they are about 145 IT

Since this is the week of sports lobstering in florida, not sure if you have Maine or Florida.  This works for the Florida Tail.

Cook em @350-400 until the meat is not translucent anymore, just like shrimp.  Trick is to not over cook them.

Par cook in she'll  then poach in herbed butter. Just don't overlook. You can do it!  Good luck!

Thank you! I followed @hapster 's advice and was not disappointed.  My pictures are not as good as his and there's no cigar or bourbon but the meal was excellent.  The only thing not cooked on the egg was the corn.  Not sure why.  Should have been an all egg meal.
