One of our best friends is moving from Biloxi, MS to Sacramento, CA.  So, we made her an epic meal!!

2" thick Filets... Check
Fresh Homemade Ciabatta bread... Check
Homemade butter... Check
Homemade Mac and Cheese... Check
Homemade Creamed Corn... Check
Sauteed mushrooms and onions... Check

And finished it with homemade ice cream on homemade brownies covered with homemade whipped cream.

It feels good to finally be able to make an entire meal from scratch. This forum is mostly responsible for all of this!

If he were smart he'd come back about every 2 weeks and get a new "going away" dinner each time!  Great cook and it really looks delicious.

Thank you all!!  It was a great meal! She's now settled in Sacremento and enjoying life out West.  But, she knows where to get the best meal when she comes to visit!

It's so much fun putting together over the top meals for close friends. No better way to spend an evening IMO.

I don't know it to be fact, but I have heard that those fellows from Dixie can really cook. Especially those from right around the MS. Gulf coast ;)
