Skinny waters !!OT!!

With minimal mountain run off this year and a hot and dry summer the river is damn low already. My buddy took a wrong turn and ended up stalling out across ~2" of water on a gravel bed. (I should have lead). Luckily there was a 15' channel I could squeeze in and get turned around to yard him out that was about 2' deep. Great times.

Nah. I have skipped over 60 feet or more packed gravel with a full camping load.  His boat is fine. That a minor snag. @Jstroke

Have a poker rally coming up next month. I just hope it doesn't keep dropping so it's still on. Great time on the river.

My boat comes with two paddles and weighs 42 lbs. I have never been a motor boater. So I really woudnt know.

I have one as well. But I live right by the river. And a good fishing spot for sturgeon is almost an hour up river doing 40 miles an hour. I love being on the river and the great people that are out there.

I could find a reason. But in central ohio the water situation sucks. The lakes here are fish bowls. And the rivers are all dams

We have no water shortage down here in the delta.  I haven't run aground yet, but been caught in a foot and a half on plane.

This is my beater boat.  Took it out on the 4th.

been there high and dry on a mud flat at midnight, was lucky, extremely low tide, just had to wait it out. its amazing how fast a boat can stop
