Stoker wifi II power adapter question

I've got a minor question re the new stoker wifi II power adaptor. I just received my replacement stoker (first one had a malfunctioning port). All seems to be working fine with the new unit (so far). I noticed that the power adapter they shipped with the replacement unit was much larger than the first one. It also came in two pieces - the adapter part and the power cord part. For those that recently purchased their stokers, which power adaptor did you receive? I'm just going to keep the original smaller version because it fits better in my stoker box. Unless of course someone here tells me that the bulkier one has benefits over the original one. In the pics below, the first pic is the new one and the second pic is the original.

Probably just a new cheaper supplier. Check the labels on both. The new one probably puts out more amperage. That won't make a difference unless you start running multiple fans. Choose the one not made in China.
The new one looks like a laptop transformer. I find those are generally more reliable than the wall warts.

As long as the output is 5vdc, any wall wart will work.

Not ANY 5v wall wart. You need a minimum amperage too.
