4th of July semi-Lexington style BBQ.

0700 - sixteen pounds of butt rubbed with Johnny's on my large. The plan is to cook at 300 dome to 160 internal, the foil to completion. This generally produces some dang good pulled pork, but no outside brown worthy of note - hence 'semi-Lexington style'.

Where are you located?
Lexington does have color to it, but there isn't much because they use no rub, only salt really.------------------------------

I'm in Bremerton, WA (near Seattle), but I'm from Winston originally.
That's why I just use Johhny's, just enough to form a pellicle to give the brown a head start. -
