One of my favorite Lexington BBQ restaurants

One of my personal favorites is Speedy's on Winston Rd. Good portions and good food.

I got a coarse chopped with majority white lean, fries, and a salad. I share slaw with my wife. 

Washed down with some Cheerwine!

I always thought Speedys was the best in town. I used to cover that area for work years ago and Speedys was my go to place. Enjoy you lucky bast&$/d!

Ah the homeland, I love it. If you haven't been to BBQ center lately it was really good last time I was up that way.

Lexington is #1 / speedy's #2 / in my humble opinion. Lexington style is the best. Eastern style I don't like very much.

Yeah, that is many peoples opinion too, but I have always liked Speedy's the best.  I don't dislike any of them though, I think it's the convenience of Speedy's more so than Honey Monk.  You can't get in there on a Friday evening.

Yeah, it's been a while since I have been there.  I do like to hit their lunch special every once in a while though.

Stopped at Lexington bbq a few weeks ago as I was driving back to Wake Forest.  The jury is still out on their red slaw.  What's your favorite stop in the Raleigh area.  I also went to Bee's in Greenville a few weeks back.

Wait, Raleigh/Eastern NC has BBQ?    To be honest, I have never eaten BBQ in Raleigh, but I hear they have some good joints.

Speedy's is good. I stop there when going that way.  Down east I like Parker's in Wilson and also Bill's

Clyde Cooper's in Raleigh and Allen and Son's in Chapel Hill.

@tarheelmatt have you ever eaten at Spring Hill Restaurant at Randleman and Meadowview in Greensboro?

@johnmitchellThe breakfast is off the charts! Best biscuits and gravy I've ever eaten. It's the thing I miss most about living in Greensboro. I typoed the name earlier. It's Spring Valley Restaurant.

@DoubleEgger I haven't eaten at any of those.  I'll have to check both places out.

We have a place in Thomasville called The BBQ Shack that has some great tenderloin biscuits too..

Yeah, they are, and actually have become bigger.  They one over in N. High Point/West Wendover area pretty nice.
