Rain protection

This past Sunday around hour 10 of my 14 hour Boston Butt cook it started to rain. I quickly ran outside and created an umbrella leaning on 3 tervis tumblers shelter to shield the Daisy Wheel, and it worked but at higher heats the umbrella idea will get scorched. Has anyone seen or purchased any other rain shields for their BGE to use while they're cooking?

If you don't want to pop for a SmokeWare then a simple roof vent cap for less than $10 works fine. It rests over your daisy. Just remember it gets HOT!!! Don't get me wrong - I LOVE my Smokeware cap and have never used this vent stack cover in 3 years now!
Re-gasketing America one yard at a time. -

The Smokeware cap is easier to use and it alleviates any concern for rain or snow flavoring your food. The real problem is the water combining with that black gunk just inside the top vent and dripping down on your protein. Plus, the Smokeware cap just plain looks good on the egg ... matches the lower stainless steel vent.
