8 lb Butt

Got up early this morn so we could have pulled pork for dinner tonight.  Put this beauty on at 6am with some mesquite chunks. Running the Party Q today at 275.   Will update as the day goes on but here's the beginning....

Oh almost forgot Sadie!... She was the only one that got up to help me

I put a 5.6 pound butt on at 7AM. Great minds.....

Put my 6 pound butt on at 7am. My grill assistant is Memphis, also a golden!  Must be a golden butt day

I put a 19 pound butt on last night at about 9:30.  Loaded my large egg with charcoal, and get it to settle in at about 250.  At 7 this morning I'm at 160 degrees on one probe and 158 degrees on the other.  The egg was at 210.  So I opened up the pinwheel a bit and in the last hour we are back up to 260.  Hoping to have the butt at 185+ by 1pm so it can rest a bit before guests get here at 2.

Thanks guys!   Been on for 5 hrs and it's at 143. Decided against the party q and going old style!    Been running about 185-190 for the last couple hours.
