Aluminum table

I just got my first green egg and bought an aluminum table for it to sit in. The bottom part of the table is has slats..so in other words ..it's not solid. Does the egg need to sit on a small table nest or pavers or something or is it okay to sit on the table directly?

Welcome. Post a pic of your set up. We love pics as most of us are remedial readers at best.

I would think if it's powder coated, you should be fine with just sitting on the slats.
Maybe be someone with more metal experience like @blasting or @nolaegghead could chime in. -
Thanks...just wondering if I can place the egg directly on the table? I was told I could where I bought it
-
Also, cool table!
-
I don't wanna damage the egg or the table
-
I'd still like the little table nest for a little air gap.

Just a quick google image search yields mixed results. Some with a paver some without. Paver may take away from the look, if you're in the states, the nest is fairly cheap insurance and would look better.

Yeah i noticed that as well..maybe better safe than sorry

Our large sits in a SS table and although a spacer or stone was not recommended we used fire brick anyway...better to error on the side of safety.
BTW that is an awesome looking tableLarge, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx -
I have the same table, I got these little Frogs sitting on lily pads at Walmart in the garden section (they are pot raisers)..$2,00 each..Greensboro North Carolina

Seems like it was made for an egg so the mfg should be able to answer the question easily. As high up as the egg is sitting (above table top) without any thing under it, I doubt if it needs anything under it. What does something like that cost?

They are pretty pricey I bought it at the egg fest in north ga... They were asking $900 but they told me normally they were $1100 or $1200 or so.

I gave 1099.00.I know its to much but I wanted it.

Those are gorgeous tables. Since aluminum conducts heat, do they get hot around the egg?
I would think an air gap would be required or that bottom shelf would get very hot.Clinton, Iowa -
That table looks way cool! Great looking, and won't burn up! Looks fantastic.

I put the egg on a table nest...I didn't notice the tae heating up..,seemed to work rather nicely
