spring tune-up, new bottom and new handle

Finally got around to replace the cracked bottom as the hairline crack was getting wider (got the new bottom under warranty a year ago),


Took the opportunity to scrape off the burnt dust-like top gasket and replaced with Nomex using 3M Super 77 adhesive, also cleaned and applied rust paint to the metal bands,


Couldn't stand the original handle.  Found some scrap oak half round moulding in the garage and made a new handle, no fancy finishing just quick coat with mineral oil, should last at least couple of years, easy to make a new one again.
