Stoker losing communication

Viewing stoker through an IP address and won't connect now 10 hours into a cook. Worked 10 minutes ago, now the page won't come up. Second cook in a row this has happened. Ideas?

    Went outside and checked the unit. It was on and the probe temp read 225.4F I reset the stoker unit and the wifi connection came on and the grill probe was 162F. The fan is now running and getting it back up the proper temp. Wonder what the heck happened? I could have lost a SRF brisket! Don't trust technology.

    Wow! That makes it not so fun for overnighters.

    Might consider using a Maverick with temp alarms as backup.  That way you will at least know if somrthing went wonky.

    My stoker 1 started flaking out kind of like you described and I sent it back to Rock and they stated it had some water damage.  The replaced "stuff" inside the unit, charged $25 and it worked good as new. 

    Stoker or or any other pit controller isn't full proof but you could always lose your fire when going natural too....just have to roll with it.   Good luck.
