Ga. Mtn Fest Menu Planning Time

Time to start planning for the Ga Mtn Fest.  This is the best fest and grows every year.  If you are sitting on the fence on going to this one--get off the fence and go.  Stop by and say hello--you can't miss the tiger paw apron.

Preliminary menu (2 eggs, 4+ cooks) looks like ABT's finished with raspberry chipotle pepper sauce; Cuban Sandwiches (this is the only fest I know of that let's you do a low and slow overnight making for a fresh from the egg pork shoulder); and several varieties of thin crust grilled pizzas  (maybe Gamberian (shrimp with basil pecan pesto), Moroccan (curried chicken with roasted garlic and kalamata olives) and some other variety).

Plan on going, see you there.

So excited!  It's totally unheard of to take time off in my industry in May, June, July or August. My boss was super cool!

We also are working on our menu. We will be driving in early this year so we can bring all of our Egging gear.

I'd be there but Im walking my daughter and our only down the isle on May 16! 

She's fetched herself a Vanderbilt grad Engineering degreed U.S. Naval Aviator (active). 


One of the few things that takes priority over the Egg!

@THEBuckeye "U.S. Naval Aviator"...that's so cool!! My first cousin was one of the first off the deck of the carrier on Jan. 17, 1991 in Desert Storm. He was also flew on some emergency sorties out of Norfolk on September 11. To this day he doesn't buy drinks when we are together. Congrats to you.

@THEBuckeye - one of my best friends is an Air Traffic Controller in the Navy. He is currently on the USS Carl Vinson. Congrats to your family for the pending ceremony!

We are totally hijacking this thread but....this is the USS Carl Vinson in Pearl Harbor in May/June 2011.  
It was here just after "the mission" and we got to talk to several families that have crewmen aboard.  This was a Tiger Cruise in which the young sons of the crewmen get to travel from San Francisco to Hawai'i with their fathers.  SO cool we got to see this!

I don't believe I will be this year, but I am going to do some work in the garage and porch next week and keep working on the wife.  Every month we get a little closer to recovering from our move.  I will for sure remember demo eggs when I get ready to pull the trigger.
