If im going to do some butts, I refuse to spark up the egg for just one. Doesnt feel like it's worth my time. 2 is ok. 3 for me is optimal. 4 is too much work. Constantly having to adjust and rotate.
We cryovac and freeze the remainder for whatever we fancy. Tacos, nachos, sammies etc. 3 going on at 5 am today. Having some guests for dinner and will get cryoed

Why not fill the egg up? That's what I try to do. Great job

Love the smell of butts in the morning. -
I fire up the egg for a single pork chop.

I'll fire mine up for a few hotdogs. I try and keep a surplus of lump so I do T have to worry about fuel. Those butt look great. Waiting for the bark to set.XL BGEJoe JRBaltimore, MD

Thats why everyone needs a smaller size egg in their carton. But even if I had only one egg at my disposal I would still use it for when ever I wanted to cook something small or large. I deserve the best.....

I am right there with you. Three us my magic number as well.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I fire my medium up all the time. I love steak-n-egg hash browns for breakfast.

I think some you have the wrong impression.
Ill cook ol other items on the egg. I was meaning that if I'm going to be locked in at home all day (don't want a fire now do we), I'm going to make it worth it. -

Do you have an AR? I usually do five if I'm going to the trouble. I usually have a few in the freezer and just fill the space with them (still frozen)Steve

No I didn't invest in an AR. I was interested at one point but I lost interest when the shipping just as much as the piece itself.

Here is 2 of the 3 ready for cryo. Ftc for the third awaiting for the guests to arrive. 3-9 lb butts at 275 took 11.5 hours.

That was the justification I used for adding a Small. The lump/cost math doesn't work unless I do three cooks a week, and live to 169._____________"Pro-Life" would be twenty students graduating from Sandy Hook next month

I have a mini as well for those quick cooks.
