Sure it is lump? Great price but I'm skeptical.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Looks good on the website. I'm stocked with Rockwood or I would ride down to my local HD and pickup a pallet.Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html
What am I drinking now? Woodford....neat -
Yeah, standard price here for that bag is 12.98 so that's the normal sale price they run a few times a year. I'll probably go grab a bag or two as I've already burned through half of my 100 pounds I got from Firecraft about a month ago.I raise my kids, cook and golf. Thanks for the heads up- best deal I have seen in a while.
FWIW I was just searching posts from last year and Walmart had it for $8 a bag around this time. The timestamp in the forum just shows March 2014 so I'm not sure exactly when.

@SmokeyPitt Yeah, I seem to remember Menards running their cheapest lump special this time a year as well, guessing trying to clear out all of the stock from last year before getting into the new stuff for this year?I raise my kids, cook and golf. @smokeypitt I got some at $8 last year when that was posted. Still have a couple bags in the attic I think. I have to drive down to Alpharetta to get the big bags from wallyworld my WalMart only has the small bags.

If I recall correctly, Walmart usually has it for $8 in March, early July (for 4th), and again in September (labor day).
I'm still going to grab at least a few bags from HD because I have been paying close to $7 for 8.8 # lately.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Appreciate the heads up. Gonna pick some up tomorrow.

BBQ is a celebration of culture in America. It is the closest thing we have to the wines and cheeses of Europe.
Drive a few hundred miles in any direction, and the experience changes dramatically.

looks like $12.97 at my local HD here in CT.
XL BGE & Mini - CT USA -
I certainly hope it is better than the crap they are selling in Canada in the blue bags. When I light that stuff up, there is so much smoke that it looks like I am trying to light a camp fire in the rain. After about 5 minutes, it actually catches fire and not the nice blue flame of a really hot fire either. It also smells like I am burning old railway ties. R. O. couldn't give me another bag of that stuff at any price.
1 large BGE, 2 small BGE, 3 Plate setters, 1 large cast iron grid, 1 pizza stone, 1 Stoker II Wifi, 1 BBQ Guru Digi-Q II, 1 Amaze N pellet smoker and 1 empty wallet. Seaforth, On. Ca.

Home Depot web site has it at $12.83 per bag as of this date.
-
It must be regional. Its still $9.88 at my HD.
-
9.88 for 8Kilos here in the peoples republic of socal. Even at twice as much per lb. I'd rather use Fogo. The cost of good meat eclipses the cost of lump. Just did some baby backs - $36 for 2 racks. From the local butcher shop and excellent!!! Not sure the meat is that much better than that other little boutique butcher shop (Costco), but I wanted it to be A++ (it was) and didn't have an hour for driving to Costco and back.Santa Paula, CA

I got it last week at Walmart for 7$ a 17lb sack
-
Darn. Regular price here in PA.
-
Yep, 9.88$ nice 'stiff' bag which I'm guessing hasn't been trampled and crunched in handling!
While I was there I scored some drip pans. -
At my local Restaurant Depot, the regular price is $9 something. I don't remember exactly what it is because I don't use it but I see it because the pallet is at the cash registers.
