In 334 hours the Eggs of Salado will be slowly getting warm. Smoke will be slowly drifting over Salado Creek and through the Live Oak trees. The sleepy Village of Salado will be starting to come alive. It's a most wonderful moment.

In a couple of hours people will begin arriving to enjoy the day, to taste the food and to see old friends and make new ones. They will be eager to taste the wonderful treats that all the Cooks have to offer. And taste they shall, all day long.

Some of them will be dragging chairs and ice chests, and looking for the perfect place to spread their picnic blankets. They plan to make this a day to remember.

So what are your plans for March 14th?
