Sunday Gamble - Caveman Included

Well, we are all dug out, the deck and egg are cleared off and it's a beautiful sunny day in the high 30's... almost time for shorts

Gravy delivered to both sets of rents and now on today's egging experiment

I am going to grill some asparagus first... And then caveman for a few minutes a side some NY strips, they then are going into the oven to finish with some gravy and cheese. A NY strip parm if you will...

What can possibly go wrong?

There will be at least one stick as well as some cocktails today

Hap, you always seem to know very well what you are doing.  With that said, I  would not put tomato sauce/gravy on a caveman steak!  Some things cannot be improved upon IMHO

@hapster-I believe you were one of the first proponents of the caveman steak cook (coupled with great pics).  That said, I would have a difficult time taking such a steak and then altering it with anything.  But it's your food, your cook so enjoy!  And let the bourbon flow.

Yep... No where near as smooth as before. They need to make it more mobile friendly

Good choice going with the NY strips. I think they work better than ribeyes when cooking caveman. Was dressing up the steak with gravy and parm worth it?
