OT - VD Day, Yeti, and The Weather...

Off topic since there will be no egging today...

First - Happy Valentines Day

Second - Just received my new warranty Yeti 30oz Rambler, just have to clean up the old one and ship it back via their FedEx account.

Third - Making a cajun dish this evening for my ladies... an Emeril recipe called Beef Boulettes with Garlic. Basically a big spicy meatball wrapped around a clove of garlic, coated with flour and rub (Bad Byrons in this case) and then fried. What's left in the pan is combined with the left over seasoned flour to make a roux and ultimately the sauce... Will be having mashed potatoes and braised string beans (thanks @DMW)

Forth - Snow is falling and the winds are expected to really pick up later tonight and tomorrow. I'm on call and hoping there are no power outages anywhere...

I've noticed (along with a few others on here) that it isn't holding ice quite as well as it used to when it was new... I called Yeti the other day and spoke with their CS and he figured it was likely a vacuum problem and said it's under warranty. So they sent the new one out, and I ship mine back on their dime... Great CS

A little west of Philly... not so much snow expected, but plenty of wind and cold. Would love to be drinking like normal; but I'm on call so I have to not do anything stupid LOL

I hardly ever have to go out; but I'm who the call center calls when they have any issues and need direction on who to send the work orders too for our almost 700 locations.

Thanks hap I also noticed the ice issue. Do you put yours in the dishwasher? Can that be it? I really have no idea. Stay warm and keep the best place on earth open for business

Not only was it never in the dishwasher; I probably only hand washed it half a dozen times since I've had it, figured all the alcohol would kill any bugs

Yep... or you would be working for a company that would be a vendor Either way, when the weather sucks badly, I'm sure you guys are out keeping the lights on for the rest of us

nice cook Hap....  I love my ramblers.  Amazing to wake up in the morning and still have ice in my drink from 9pm...  My base has popped off a few times.  Sounds like the return process is hassle free.  I got mine for fathers day gift and do not have the receipt.  Did you need proof of purchase?

Knock on wood... Made it through the night without any calls or outages. Hope it continues until tomorrow morning.

Decided it's finally cold enough to egg today LOL... single digit temps and wind chills around -20. It's so sunny I might even get a start on my tan...
