They are very good. They are a pain to maintain but they leave great grill marks.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

If you want CI, get the CI grates. The only time I use the original grate is when I am doing anything with the PlateSetter-legs up. (low-slow or pizza)

I got one of those too. I wonder if there's much use for it?Ladeback69 said:I'm not interested in trying these, but I am these I got for Christmas.

I loved mine when I only had a gasser, and as others have said they did a fine job with the grillmarks. They are hard to maintain, and I didn't fastidiously do that, so they rusted out on me. Now that I have a BGE, haven't seen a need for them.

I have the Grill Grates, about the same only made out of Aluminum. No rust and just burn the grease/oil off. Designed for gasers to minimize flair ups but will work on Eggs too if that is an issue.Dan, Columbia,Mo.

They are sort of an inside joke here, I think because of a blatant sales attempt on the forum some time ago.
I have never used them, but some folks have. From what I know, they work as advertised.

I followed the link only because it was your post and I never know what to expect. Thanks for that. -
Love these. Not worth a damn to cook with, but if you carry a set in the car you can use use as traction mats if the weather turns on you.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Be thankful that whom ever stuffed these into your stocking is not opposed to buying accessories. Try these if you like them great, if not, you can always get a cast iron grate or skillet.
You will find yourself getting into "ALL" sorts of discussions from ...what is the best thermometer...or don't use this or that brand lump...use the man grates..be thankful you have a LBGE and someone that isn't opposed to outfitting it with extras.
Enjoy my friend.....POST SOME PICTURES OF A STEAK WITH GRILL MARKS

I have the Grill Mats. I ordered them large enough to cut in circles to fit 3 grill sizes. I use them for cheese or other items like scallops. They work great!
