Frozen shut

Last night while preparing for the big day, I decided to load up the XL egg with charcoal to be ready.
Glad I did because it was frozen shut!
It took better than a half hour to thaw it out by placing a heat gun in the lower vent and letting it run.
Disaster averted and there is now a 18# turkey cooking away beer can style.
Can hardly wait...............

Weird weather... we are under Santa Anna conditions here today. It was 91 degrees yesterday and 'spose to be warmer today, with humidity around 10 percent. way to warm for this late in November.

I usually drop a Lighter cube threw the top.
