Tailgating Blowout

Today, Maryland plays Michigan State. We are tailgating with friends to make the most definite blowout tolerable. Wings, burgers, and brats/dogs on the menu. Oh, and beer.

How did you be sure it was there when you came back?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

@mickey, The egg had quite the road trip Friday to Saturday. My wife ran the Richmond half marathon Saturday morning so I packed the egg into the back of our Ford Flex and we drove it down to Richmond Friday night and from there to College Park, MD Saturday afternoon. We arrived to the parking lot at 2:45, game time was 8pm. I started up the Egg at 3 and brought it up to 300 to smoke the wings with pecan wood. After a hour, I bumped the temp up to 425 to crisp them up. After that, I grilled the brats with some kraut and did burgers last(the candied hallow-peen-yos were fantastic). Everything was finished by 6pm. I pulled the coals out with tongs and put them in a Smokey Joe to make a "fire pit". I left the egg open and the ceramic cooled to touch in 30 minutes. After that, I put it back in my car and we went to the game.

@DIAD we were in P1 behind the Xfinity Center. I presume you have season tickets? I don't(yet) but we had a blast. My parents and my wife and I went to Maryland so it is easy to drum up support for it. She commutes with a few grads on the MARC and they all decided to go in on a game. They do one each year but the egg apparently elevated the event so we may make it a regular thing.
@Brisket_Fanatic that's a Pot Lifter I grabbed off of Amazon that RRP recommended. It worked great. -

@eggcelsior -yes, I have had season tix for 12 years now. I love it! Mostly, the tailgates because I bring the satellite dish and see a lot of games including the TERPS. Have never taken an egg out there though. If for some reason you find yourself out there for the last home game of every year we have a chili cookoff that day. This year it's against Rutgers at 3:30. I will be doing @eggObsessed brisket chili this year.
