Cowboy steak - Caveman style

First cook in a few weeks due to work, so I wanted something special, for me and for the Egg.  I think she missed me.  Saw some bone in ribeyes with a very large spinalis muscle, at Wegman's.  Fired up the Egg and cooked them Caveman, right on the hot coals.  They turned out amazing.  Glad to be back Egging.  Tomorrow will be double crust deep dish pizza.

Never seen that type of cut at my Wegmans... I'm gonna complain to management!!! They look awesome!!!

I like the idea of one of them surrounded by 3 scrambled eggs loaded with cheddar cheese and hot sauce.

First time I ever saw them at my Wegmans. $10.99 a pound, compared to the dry aged strips they had for $37 a pound. I made the right choice.

That's awesome.  I bought the $10.99 boneless Ribeyes last week at Wegmens and they were awful.  Made me think next time I have to go one step up to their "almost" Organic beef.  I don't think I have the motivation for the $37/lbs dry aged.  I saw those also...

Caveman cook is on the list.  Always looks so good.

10.99 a pound? whaaa? those are some mighty fine looking steaks, nice work!

I got some dry aged steaks recently from a local butcher.  he's aging the meat anywhere from 21-42 days, cuts them to order, and charges $21-24 / lb.
