A old man right up the road was trying to get rid of last years supply. I gladly helped him out. 1,000 ponds of oak and a 1,000 pounds of cherry already split, dried and seasoned. 100 bucks. Not to bad my friends. Just wish he had more. imageimageimageimage

Sweet deal, I usually buy my Hickory from a fella  that cuts firewood for a living. He usually picks thru the stack and gets me all straight pieces with no knots.

@SGH at that price you took advantage of the poor guy. For your penance you need to share some of that with the less fortunate. I'll take a hundred pounds of cherry. I'm sure after giving up some of that you'll feel much less guilty...

I'll bet you got a pretty good deal on the bush hog too? You should probably feel guilty about that also. Lucky for you I'm not in need of a bush hog.

I got a reasonable deal on it. 4,500 bucks. Brand new it's about 7,000. Give or take a little.

That looks almost exactly like our bath tub last night, except for the surface vessels.

(note - I do not understand why you need surface vessels)

The surface vessels are used when law requires that subsea mainline termination point "remains" offshore for whatever reason. Examples-Enviromental reasons, wet land protection, shore line erosion etc, etc. The surface vessels then become the mode of transportation to refinery unloading docks/ports or loading and unloading terminals as opposed to the subsea main line extending "onshore" as a transmission/flow line. Basically it's just some stupid government regulations that cost a lot of money that the oil company's pass on to you and I at the pump.
