Blackened catfish

This is one of the things I haven't tried on the egg. Coating fillets with butter then dusting with bone dust. Will bring CI skillit to white hot on a 700 deg fire. I figure 3 mins per side. Any thoughts by anyone would be appreciated as I haven't tried this on egg.

The fish looks awesome! I've never tried catfish...would you suggest blackened for my first time? I would think cooking outside on the egg would be an awesome way to go about it - that blackening seasoning can really smoke!XL, JR, and more accessories than anyone would ever need near Olympia, WA

yall are too kind.Although this was excellent, catfish should be fried. I did this on a whim and im glad I did and I will continue to do it this way on a regular basis. But, a fat southern boy, fried is still the go to.
As to the bone dust, I found it on this site. Probably my favorite rub to make up. I add more brown sugar than called for, but blackened fish does not need sugar.
