Afternoon Pizza and Calzone Cook

Every night this past week that I have tried to cook out on the Egg, it has been armageddon outside here on the Space Coast of Florida.  Been jonesing for pizza, so I decided I would cook for lunch to try and beat the storms.  Finally got a cook in, 2 pizzas and 2 calzones.  Publix crust again, cooked raised in the dome on a pizza stone at 650-700 degrees.  Came out great.

Thanks guys, no special recipe for the calzones, just stuffed the Publix pizza dough with our favorite fillings.

I was just down in your area a week back.  Vacationed in New Smyrna for awhile.  Beautiful weather while we were there.  Hope it gets better for you.

@yemtrey well, the rain has stopped, but the heat has gotten almost unbearable.  I guess that is August in Central Florida.

I'm having people over Saturday for a pizza cook. It's one of my favorite things to cook for a large group. Everyone can make their own pizza and everyone is happy. After seeing your calzones I might have to give people that option too.
