I've been wanting a Smokeware top and a grill rack. I called to see if they were having any specials for Fathers Day. If you use DAD as the coupon code you can save 17% on the top and some of their other products. Not on the grill rack however.

smokeware.net looks like the address.  I added a cap and a new gasket but I'm not a father yet.  The moral dilemma!

Well that sucks!!! I just ordered two caps. I tried to order from their site, but it wouldn't let me pick a shipping option, thus I couldn't go any further. Ended up going through Amazon because shipping was cheaper than EBay. That really blows!!!

Its the story of my life - I ordered one for my Medium yesterday (from smokeware.com), and it's already enroute.  Damn, that's $6.37 I'll never see again.  Oh well, maybe I'll order a second one for my XL today to cut my losses ...

By the way, they ship via USPS Priority (usually 2 days), which is a fairly good option, unless you need it tomorrow.

Still kicking/cursing myself for missing out on this (too busy cooking/roaming and got to the on site sales tent late) laser engraved special edition, discounted to devalued CAD $36 before tax  :D

Yes it does. However it wants to hold the cap when removing the cover so I've been using the ceramic cap when I put the cover on. But, it does work.
Or leave the cap off like @GBC‌ had suggested. Either way it works fine.

I bought one locally today. It was $2 more than the website. Figured may as well.

Installed easy enough. I figured it would be a tighter fit between the two parts, surprised how loose it is and easy to swivel the vents.

Trust me - it will tighten up! After all, the creosote still has to exit your egg and some will be deposited inside your cap on the way out. I went nearly a year before I cleaned mine the first time.

@RRP‌ Ron, I guess I'm OCD I clean mine virtually after each cook even under the cap. I like my SS to gleam. :D

I have had mine over a year now, I only cleaned it 3 times now. It will tighten up quicker if you cook burgers or something greasier. The thing I like is you set the vent and don't have to check it again when you open the egg. Plus it looks like it belongs "matching the lower vent".
