Lid off set

Has anyone had a problem with there lid not sitting in the same position. Every time I open my lid it closes in a different spot. It's not a major problem just a little irritating. Have tried to adjust the rings around the lid and base several times but think it may be the hinge any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like your hinge has a "slop" issue and honestly I've never heard one closing at different spots each time. Normally when they are out of whack they consistently close proud to the right or left. I'm sure you have but are you sure all of the nuts and bolts are tight in the entire assembly of hinge and bands?

When I'm looking at my egg there is a leak on the right side. I have no idea how to fix and it doesn't bother me that much but there is a lot of smoke coming out the side.

@RRP I've never messed with the hinge bolts that could be my problem thanks. I've been leery that i would mess the hinge up.

I can make my lid sit a tad left or right but I have to push it to the side when I close it. Sounds like some bolts are loose on yours. Tighten up a bit and see if it helps.
