Since I was gifted a CI pan from my Mom I now need more room on the egg so I can have a couple things going on at one time if need be. Was thinking of either making a raised grid by buying a grate at Lowes (or where ever) lag bolts, nuts, and washers, but I came across this and I wouldn't need to mess with going to the hardware store.
However, I was thinking about getting a smaller grate for the top tier (maybe 13") so I can still get to the bottom tier. Not sure what to do exactly.
Would love to get an AR rig sometime, but just cannot justify right now.

Well, that one is dishwasher safe for quick cleanup.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

What type was the grill extender did you buy @mountaindewbass? The BGE version?

It works great. I still have one from when I had a medium.

I have the medium Grill Dome extender, use it with MBGE - it has been discontinued as Grill Dome thinned their product line. Found it in the clearance section of BBQ store marked down to $15.Sitting on the fire ring the grid level is about 1" above the felt line, good for raised direct cooks if 13.5" grid is OK. It straddles the setter so you can also do indirect cooks or pizza, the stone will be 1" above the felt line.It is well built and after 2 years of use, still looks new. Last nights double level with setter cook.PS - Think the group buy may have been the swing rack?Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

@tarheelmatt-no grief around here for using different options.
Now, should you decide to give it a dishwasher run then you will have to give an after-action report-if still able to communicate after SWMBO blow-back

@mountaindewbass - Sweet, thanks! I like that swing rig too!
I think I will get the extender I posted about though I am not sure if I should get this or the smaller 13" one.
